About Ministry of Water and Irrigation
Prior to 1974, the Ministry of Water and Irrigation was a department in the Ministry of Agriculture. After this year, the Ministry was constituted and remained thus till 1992 when it was merged with other departments to form the Ministry of Land Reclamation and Regional Development. After 1998, the Ministry was merged to form the Ministry of Water Resources.

Requirements
- Be between 25 and 35 years old.
- Have completed and holds a relevant Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution of higher education.
- Have graduated not more than two (2) years earlier than the date of this advertisement.
- Not have benefited in any other internship program funded by the Government of Kenya.
- Not have had any formal employment in their areas of specialization after graduation.
Duration and Stipend
- The internship period will last twelve months (12) non-renewable.
- The second cohort of 65 interns will start in January 2027.
- Interns shall be paid a monthly stipend in accordance with prevailing government guidelines.
