About the Role
MAWASCO was incorporated on 24th August 2005. Its shareholding is currently under the County Government of Kilifi.
Malindi Water and Sanitation Company seeks to recruit a qualified and motivated Briquette Production Supervisor to oversee briquette production operations within its sludge-to-resource programme at Sabaki Fecal Sludge Treatment Plant.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology, Environmental Science, or related field with a minimum working experience of 3 years OR
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Technology, Environmental Science, or related field with a minimum working experience of 5 years.
- Practical experience in briquette or biomass production.
- Basic electro-mechanical Plant and process troubleshooting ability.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily briquette production activities including carbonization, drying, mixing, and pressing.
- Ensure safe handling of sludge-derived feedstock and adherence to OHS standards.
- Operate and maintain briquette production machinery and equipment.
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with set specifications.
- Maintain production records, inventory logs, and equipment checklists.
- Train and supervise production staff and casual workers.
