About the Role

Malindi Water and Sanitation Company invites applications from suitable candidates for the position of Fecal Sludge Treatment Supervisor to support efficient operations at the Sabaki and Watamu Fecal sludge treatment facilities.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Water Engineering/Technology, Environmental Engineering, Wastewater Treatment, or related field with a minimum of 3 years working experience OR
- Diploma in Water Technology, Environmental Engineering, Wastewater Treatment, or related field with a minimum of 5 years working experience.
- Experience in operating and supervising wastewater treatment processes.
- Knowledge of treatment process controls and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of wastewater and fecal sludge treatment plants.
- Monitor treatment processes and ensure effluent meets NEMA discharge standards.
- Coordinate sampling, laboratory tests, and process adjustments.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance.
- Ensure safe handling of chemicals and compliance with OSHA 2007.
- Maintain accurate plant logs, reports, and regulatory documentation.
